I just did this in a class last week--yours looks great. We trimmed the fabric behind the first 3 petals we appliqued (not the smallest one) and we didn't clip the edges the way you have done--they will fray just fine without it. Her sample was very ragged looking, but the edges not clipped--I think that will make your petal stronger. You have done a really good job drafting this yourself!

Thanks very much for the info about not clipping the edges. I will try that. I can always clip after if needed/wanted. Did you use any stabilizer behind your rose? I am not using any maybe I should?

Looks pretty dang good to me! I have been doing searches for the pattern and am not having any luck, every one seems to be sold out. I thought about setting down and drawing it out, too. Good Job!
