Our quilting guild is creating charity quilts from grab bags of fabric. We could add to the fabric in the bag if we wanted. I just finished the first quilt top, as I am making two quilts from the bag I took. I am pretty pleased with it, and this was a fun project.

I abandoned the first pattern I had selected, as I didn't quite have enough fabric. I added the light blue from my own stash. I am quite pleased with the results....and I keep telling myself that it really doesn't look like a tablecloth!

These particular quilts are being made for family members of folks who lost their homes in our recent wild fires. We call them comfort quilts, not charity quilts...but the idea is the same. This grab bag idea is my sister's idea, and I think it is a winner. We need about 50 quilts, and I think 50 grab bags got taken.

Anyway...please tell me it doesn't look like a tablecloth...

I think it looks just great, very light and summery and not a tablecloth at all, thanks for doing this for those who truly need it.

It does NOT look like a tablecloth! Looks like the topper for a great comfort quilt! I can see some little girl loving it to pieces (no pun intended ).

I love your quilt. It doesn't resemble a tablecloth at all. Very pretty. Love the pattern!
