Go for it!! When I made this quilt, my skills weren't that advanced at the time either. But the directions with the pattern were good and I muddled my way through it and the end result was worth it. And, I learned so much doing it and boy did this quilt sharpen my skill level!! You can still find this quilt pattern online.
