thanks, everyone, for the encouraging compliments! :-)

first, let me assure the brat that i managed to pick off more than one of those points. (why do you think there's no closeup? :lol: ) in fact, up close, there are about a half-dozen gafarbles. i'm hoping i can figure out a way to quilt it that with either fix them or disguise them. time will tell.

since it's intended as a companion to the lap quilt i made in june, i'm going to add an extra back that isn't quilted. that way, if it's left alone it can be a table topper. if whoever gets it wants to they'll be able to snip some threads and stuff it for a BIG pillow. if neither of those ideas appeal to her/him, i guess it could also be a wall hanging.

I love the echo effect of the star points. Is that this years BOM on this website, or from a quilt shop.
