What a great looking and colorful quilt. Would love to see what the original fabric looked like. I am always trying to figure out what fabric would be best for this type of quilt. Your choice is perfect!!!

I was just thinking the exact same thing. Most of the ones I have seen are a little to busy for my taste. This one is so clean and simple, yet striking. I, too, love the white background. Please, please, please post a picture of the fabric you used so us newbies will know what type of fabric to look for. I want to see how far apart the colors were before cutting. Does that make sense?

That is spectacular! I love the colors and the way the blocks turned out. It's a very "happy" quilt, too.

I just happened to pic up several old issues of Fons & Porter's Love of Quilting at a thrift store a couple of weeks ago. This awesome quilt is featured on the cover of the May/June 2006 issue. Page 80 gives the pattern and this info: Quilt by Bethany Reynolds. The Stack-n-Whack method and GeoMagic fabric collection from Blank Quilting are creations of Bethany Reynolds. The pattern in a different colorway can be found here: http://www.bethanyreynolds.com/downloads/SpinCycle.pdf

Love the colors. So different from the norm. Would never have thought of using white. Love the way it turned out.

VERY nice and cheerful. I really like the way you carried the whirling theme into the cornerstones. The white background works great - and is very different from what we usually see. It really makes the Ks pop!

Your stack-n-whack quilt is beautiful. It would be interesting to see what the fabric was before cutting into. I do think there should be a "law" that you have to take a picture of the fabric before cutting into it.

I LOVE it!!! It reminds me of the little pinwheels that are on (well, used to be anyway) wooden sticks! I always had a new one every summer when I was a child!! We would run around the yard and watch them twirl!!
