I made my sister-in-law a bright purple fleece throw for her bed and sure enough, it disappered from her bed and room. My niece walked down the halls, looking into each and every room and sure enough! it was on someone else's bed. She retrieved it and took it home and put a large label, front and back, on it. It has stayed home for now. I guess some resident (Az unit) liked the color and appropriated it. So do label large and conspicuously on anything destined for a nursing home.

That is so true. Mary, at 95, is blessed to have all her faculties but her room mate does not. It's so hard when that happens. Mary used to comb Aunt Rose's hair before they walked down to the dining room each time. They were like sisters, sitting watching t.v. together and knitting those scarves for the homeless. They knitted several hundred of them! I put a large label on the back of the quilt with Mary's full name so I hope it doesn't disappear. The people in those homes have so little to call their own as it is.

It is a wonderful quilt. I think it is amazing that she is still knitting for others!
