Default The last of 5 star quilts and free motion doodles

I made for star quilts for others this last couple of months and one for the tutorial, this is the last of them. The other day I finally figured out free motion quilting can be more fun then it was, I can doodle, random lines and random motion and I am having a blast. The first pic should be of the back, the second one is the best one of the doodles and the last one is the best of the color for this quilt. I added a zinger strip because the background fabric while beautiful was too busy next to the star. I love the way it turned out, different from how I expected. The person it is for will love it since she spent time fabric shopping at quilt stores in Denver to get the exact thing she wanted. This also had a bed skirt to match and pillow shams - not my normal cup of tea, she is a very good friend and this time she didn't want the quilt on page 72 of my book - for which I am incredibly grateful.
