EnjoyMyQuilting posted her new Barn Quilt on her newly painted barn and was so pretty. In reading all the posts on her barn, it gave me an idea....I do not have a barn but I have a nice garden shed. So I am going to do one for the garden side of the shed and on the other side that faces a main street. It will be so perfect because when people stop at the stop sign they will be able to see the barn quilt and the nices thing of all is....we have a private drive behind us to a nursing home and their long drive to go in and it will be seen by all.....see pics of the shed and give me your opinions.... this will be a great winter project for me to do for sure. I will be painting my garden shed and updating all .....thanks for giving me a new project EnjoyMyQuilting......!!!!! I might have to start before winter now that I am so excited.....

Great idea. I was thinking of doing one above my garage door, as one door is taller than the other. I have a log home, and thought it would be great there. 4x4 Please post pictures of yours when it is complete.

That would be a nice view, for people driving through. I bought a 12" piece of board to paint a block on this winter, for my garden shed.

I too was inspired by her barn quilt. I don't have a barn or a shed, & when I broached the subject with my DH, he wasn't too keen about one on our house either. So I've decided that I am going to do a Fence Quilt on the fence in our backyard. It may not be seen by the whole neighborhood but it will be a pretty cool conversation piece when we entertain in our backyard. :)

You even gave me another idea, when painting the shed, I could put a "border" around on 2x4's or little bigger of the same design and really draw attention, what u think... :D or mayb a border around the sign, yeah......opinions, just so it is not too much but small.....a little different than most

This is so exciting for sure, to think of all the places we can put a barn quilt, even though they should be on a barn I guess. We all enjoy quilting so much, do not think it matters and all the ways to share this is great...I am so glad I decided to post what I felt for sure. Can't wait to hear all that are inslpired. Just love your idea on the fence for sure, wow. Now, u gave me another idea, I might have to post one on the fence facing the nursing home so they can sit out and enjoy and see. U can see the fence so close in the back of the first pic....so excited..thanks
