Hi A,
To make the diamond sashing I measured every 1" and that's where you want your needle to hit using a ruler. My Innova was delivered march '11 and I didn't start freehand till july '11 to complete quilts. Charisma from the board was kind enough to let me quilt some her tops to get my feet wet and give me practice. I haven't taken any LA classes...yet! When I bought my machine a 3 day training class was given for maintenance and how to use the machine..wonderful class. Please don't get discouraged...i'm going to PM you!
