I finished this quilt for my youngest son and I just got it back from the woman who did the long-arming. And, darn it, I didn't get pictures of the backing. It's a medium sage color. The quilter used a varigated thread, which adds an interesting look. I just have the binding to put on, but I don't know if I will go with the sage, or another color from the front. Sometimes I'm a slow thinker

Great quilt-did you just pick the blocks you wanted to do or did you take a class or have a pattern? I'm just curious because I think they flow nicely and you did a wonderful job.

After making quilts my own way (which was on the wonky side) I decided to take a class at a wonderful little shop close to my house. The instructor chose the blocks, and I decided on the fabrics and the layout of the quilt top. I learned so much from this class that I wish I would have taken one many years ago.

Thanks, all, for looking at it and for all the nice comments. QC, my husband does not like to go fabric shopping with me because I take soooo long to "cogitate" on the variations. And thank you for the compliment.
