One of the best things I learned from Nancy Zieman is clear elastic for gathering.

No, I used binding I had made for my quilts. I just usually make more than what I need. The white with black polka dots is left over from a quilt. I start with 3 inches then fold in half and press for my binding. For the flowers, instructions said to start with 2.5" fabric and cut in half. Close enough.

Gilly, we do a mini sewing retreat for about 2 hours every month at Missouri Sewing Machine on 291 in Independence, Missouri. We teach each other. It is wonderful.

These are very pretty. I agree with the stretchy headband idea for babies.

Seriously? I was at the Mo. Sewing Machine Co on Barry Rd (North of the River) today for about an hour, I was playing with the Janome 4120. Thinking about buying one. I used to live on 291 in Independence, all of dh family still lives in Independence. I'm North of Smithville, I wonder if my store has a mini sewing retreat. I need to check that out.

Flowers of joy. I think you have started a flurry of flowermaking on the board.
