I really like this. Log cabins are so easy to piece and the quilting is great.

It is lovely Rebecca and I know the military person that received it is thrilled with it and is thankful that someone thought so much of him or her to make this wonderful quilt. Thank you.

I'd had Eleanor Burns' "Log Cabin in a Day" book for eons but never made one so I decided to used that pattern, unbleached muslin & a variety of vintage reproduction indigo fabrics for Gretchen's quilt. I got carried away & made too many blocks, thus having leftovers. I decided these would make a nice QOV so I whipped up a lap-sized top & my LA'er did a FABULOUS job of quilting feathers in the muslin part of the blocks. I called it "Leftover Blues" & hope that it's warming the heart & body of an injured troop to this day. It's nothing fancy but I kind of liked it & thought I'd show it to you (so y'all know that I actually produce quilts from time to time... LOL!).
