    DH and I were antiquing yesterday and ran across this very old sewing machine. Last patent for it was 1845. Check out that foot pedal. It is in excellent shape. Beautiful cabinet. The back also opens up.

    look how close the foot pedals are. That would be uncomfortable. Glad they improved over the years.

    I *THINK* it's an early Wheeler & Wilson....would give my eyeteeth for that one!! NICE!!
    What was the pricetag on it?

    Yes I think that is the name. They had a write up on it giving all the information. It was for $200.00......It is still there.....antique store in Aiken SC

    Too far away for me, but that's a GREAT price!! Look at it...the leather straps on the pedals are still there...
