I went to high school in the lilac city, Spokane, WA.
I can tell you the sweet smell of lilacs in bloom is so pretty. My grandmother had lilac bushes planted around her patio and it was my favorite place to sit while in bloom..just read a book in a patio chair..what lovely memories.

When I received this quilt I immediately thought of that and it gave me sweet memories.

This is a lovely quilt. I quilted charisma curls in all the purple areas and quilted a wreath in the white centers...it just seems so sweet and pretty.

I used Hobbs polydown batting. I quilted this freehand on my INNOVA. I did use a chalk pencil to make a circle in the center of each block for a point of reference. It washed out without any problems.

Thanks for looking.

As usual, your work is just outstanding. The quilt is lovely and both of my DDIL's would drool over it. Great job to both the quilt maker and the quilter!

Your quilting amazes me. It really brings the quilt to life. The back is beautiful. You are really talented.
