I took a class on how to make one of these. I had seen one completed at the local quilt show in March & just had to find out how to make one. I had to get 7 to 9 large sweatshirts. I went to several resale shops & garage sales. Do you know hard it is to find sweatshirts in Las Vegas in the summer, let alone ones that the colors match, especially when the temp here hasn't been under 100 for about 3 mos? LOL
    I got lucky I guess.
I had to cut 2" strips with a pinking blade. That took me forever. I used upholstery fabric for the back. I sewed them on. Sounds simple huh?
This was not as easy as it sounds. I am so relieved it's finished. I don't want to make another one for a while.
It's very soft, going to be great for stepping out of the shower. It's machine washable and it measures 33 x 23

Did you cut it with a rotary cutter with the pinking blade in it? Sure is pretty. I can see all the work you put in it. Good job!

Never mind about the pinking blade--read too fast!

looks very nice!! I would be interested in how you sewed the 2" strips to the upholstery material. Did you fold them length wise & attach them to the upholstery material by sewing at the fold? It looks like it might be difficult to get the material sewn because of the bulk?

I would also love to see how this was made. How long did it take you to make it?
