    A little Dawn Music

In the thread 2014 UFO Challenge of the Month, Cariem asked me for a larger picture of the quilt in my Avatar.
    So here it is...
It was, apart from some potholders, placemats and my 'lesson'quilt, the first 'larger' quilt I made. (I haven't finished much yet).
I know the way it is hanging isn't good. I should do something about it... (But first I'm finishing some UFO's)

I found the pattern in a magazine (don't ask me which one), and it was called 'A little Dawn Music', with 'Early Light quilting'.
I liked both the pattern and the quilting, but I used more purples (ond more different fabrics - I like that scrappy look in quilts). The original was a bit more 'pinkish'.

That is really lovely. It's just gorgeous hanging on the wall; the paint and the quilt, with the quilting done as it is, really do look like dawn. Thank you for sharing!

I agree, I was enchanted by this lovely quilt you made, Anne Ta -- especially the unique way you used straight line quilting to bring it to life. Just enchantingly well done!
