It turned out really, really awesome. Some times they don't play nice and you have to discover their secrets. You have a winner here. The fabrics are fantastic and the effect, perfect. You rock!

Great colors and great pattern! So glad you got to finish it because it is wonderful! I too had saved that black and white quilt in order to try to figure out how to do it.

I love it. That is on my list of quilt to make. I just found a used copy of book the pattern is in.
