Lovely colors. The block is so nice. Can't wait to see the finished quilt. I LOVE Log cabins.

That's easy, she is a wonderful lady!! I was caring for her full time until my DH fell ill with cancer back in February, I have only been back to see her a couple of times since as she lives over 200 miles from me, but we keep in touch by phone. She used to do patchwork many years ago and has been totally fascinated by all the new techniques, the reason I decided to use vilene and foundation piece this block, was so that we can hand sew some of the blocks together while I am visiting her, we love to do things together

If the rest comes out as nice as that first block, it will be a spectacular quilt. Your color choices are great
