Being one huge cat lover I think your quilt is oh so great. and honestly black comes in fifty shades too and I couldnt see your differences. I think the eye jumps to the fabric of the cats so your good to go. Nice quilt. Feels good finishing up projects like that doesnt it?

I am completing this same quilt - always loved the pattern and finally getting to it also. Yours looks great! My piecing went well, however, I decided to hand quilt it. I quilted around all the cats and now feel like that's not enough quilting. I don't have a stitch regulator on my Bernina so am hesitant to try free motion quilting - is that what you did? Any advice?

Love the twisty tails you threw in. I'm working on a cat top for my SIL for her wedding gift, the end of April. Hopefully I will get it done in time.
