Default Look what was covered up by another top!

This is the original top buried under a shredded top added in the 30s to pro long life of the quilt. Aside from top and bottom borders this can and will be displayed!! I'll have to fold over the top and bottom border to save it Better than going to the trash where it was headed!!

I can't understand why people throw these beauties away. I could never do that. Good for you.

That is a very pretty quilt, and worth saving and putting on display.

How wonderful! Any idea how old the original quilt is?

Love the block. Breaks my heart to hear of someone discarding a quilt...if they only knew.

how neat! I have an old quilt that I found at an "antique/junk" place that has a quilt inside of it. I am sooooo tempted to take the top off to see what's inside. All I can determine is that the inside quilt and the outside quilt were hand quilted and that the inside quilt has a lot of red and white!! Such mysteries!! You found a beautiful treasure!!

Not a clue!! Probably about the same as the others - late 1800 to early 1900
