You can also buy the magnetic bowls at Harbor Freight. I bought one there to keep my clips in that I use instead of pins when stitching my binding. They have two sizes and they are much cheaper than at the quilt stores.

Don't forget that there are 20% off c/o's in their ads all the time.

Harbor is a great place. I found a telescoping magnetic "picker upper" there for a very small price. It is much better than the pricey kind found in LQSs and I think it is stronger, too. If you're like me and have the dropsies, then this is a wonderful tool to pick up pins off the floor before you step on them with bare feet...

I love Harbor Freight - the men just look at us with that look of "what are you doing in our store" as we are talking about "oh, that is what I'm looking for to hold rulers,or the fish filet gloves are great for fmq" we just look at them and grin - if they only knew

I've never been to a Harbor Freight store even thou there's one in a near by town. I think I feel a shopping trip coming on...LOL!
