What about some kind of stack and whack project for the fabric in the second picture. Never made anything like that myself but looks like the type of fabric that would work well with it. Have fun.

Oh how spectacular! The "hideous" fabrics...to me they shout Bargello mixed with all sorts of beauties. Have a great time creating with all of your new treasures!
