I absolutely love the first quilt with all of the red. Can you tell me if she followed a pattern and the name of that pattern?
Thanks.

What a treasure your mother has created. Her, and yours, talents are remarkable.

Astonishing at any age! I love your Mom's joyful use of colors! Just amazed by her creative output and talent! I'm so glad that she is soaking up all the praise your thread has garnered for her, because she deserves it!

Natalie, glad you are getting the names of the patterns. That first pattern (the last picture) that started your Mom on her Paper Piecing adventure is one I would love to make. Wouldn't it just make the greatest quilt for someone in the service who works with or flies jets?! That's what her gorgeous quilt reminds me of.. seeing the Blue Angels or the Thunderbirds fly in formation.

Love all your Mom's quilts!

I taught a paper piecing class last winter at the RV Resort we winter at. Well I also unleased a Paper Piecing demon. She just loves to paper piece and just finished doing a large piece. It is absolutely the best way to get sharp points.
