Looks like you have a great protege! She did a great job, and only 5? My, my, she is one talented kiddo. To match "Auntie" of course!

I couldn't help noticing that your quilt matched your other helper too! At least in the photo! LOL

i couldn't believe she had the attention span to finish in one day too.

we would sew for 90 minutes and then play 3 games of air hockey.

i started her with pillows about 3 months ago. then about 1 month ago i taught her to make the origami purse (the link is on this forum).

she made 2 origami purses (1 for each grandmother). her and her mom each have 1 too - so all 4 ladies have the same handbag for when they have lunch together.

when we were done with the quilting she picked out a bunch of ribbons and some batik fabrics because she wants to make a woven ribbon handbag next time she comes over for her mom.

i just adore her. she's very mature for her age. she does a little show called "samantha on the spot"

That is wayyy too cool!!! You're friend is gonna be one happy, proud mama when little one gives her the beautiful runner and placemants!! The log cabin is just lovely! You two did beautiful work!!
