    Smile Lori's YBR Variations...quilted by Charisma's Corner

Lori and I have worked together several times now..she is fabulous!
She wanted to send a quilt for one of my boys to quilt...So Carl got to quilt this one. Lori usually likes to work with small pieces of fabrics...very detailed....and she took a try at YBR....she couldn't leave big pieces of fabric....so she cut them down some..LOL.

So when she sent the quilt she included a letter to Carl ..she asked him to quilt his best quilting.

Carl read the letter to me....then he said (in his very logical asperger way) "umm Mom I think everyone wants my best quilting work"
LOL I said "yes" That is very true.

So this is his best quilting work for you Lori!

Lori's quilt top is great. I love her soft, warm color combinations. Reminds me of a warm fall day. Carl's "best quilting work" did a fine job adding that finishing touch. Thanks for sharing.

It is a gorgeous quilt. That is funny that he asked about doing his best work. Kids, you just never know what they come out with.

That answer reminds me so much of my own grandson, also with asperger's. I called him one time when he was younger and asked, "Kaj, what are you up to?" He paused, then very logically said, "Talking to you." LOL! He's 19 now, working on his GED, attending college and holding down a computer job. He also has a sweet girlfriend. The Asperger's affected his fine motor movements. He's had trouble writing as well as the usual social issues. He also had dyslexsia. However, he's doing much better and understands where he needs to improve. Carl does beautiful work and obviously sticks with it until he finishes. I hope that he will continue to improve in other areas. It's wonderful that he has taken up your craft and can get support from his family. His "best" can only get "better" as he continues to work at it.
