Default Lucky Stars Completed

A few months ago I posted a picture of two star blocks, the start of this quilt. It is a Fons and Porter design called "Lucky Stars" and uses freeform cutting rather than templates. I quilted each block separately and attached them using a "quilt as you go" method. The quilt will be donated to the annual quilt auction at the Bible Camp in my home community, and I hope someone young at heart will enjoy it!

I think it turned out great and I can see where the free form cutting would give it some added interest. The colors are great with the black.
