I love it. I am putting together FQ's to make a scrappy star quilt. Yours is lovely.

Your quilt is beautiful!!!! I would take the plunge and go for it on the long arm!!! I would plan out my quilting first like was mentioned on a practice piece and if you are feeling comfortable with it, pedal to the metal!!!! Don't they all have the stitch regulators on them??? If so, that is 50% of the battle right there, and not having to wrangle the quilt another 25% factored in, you will have help for questions right there.....I'm thinking it's a go :D :D :D

That is a beautiful quilt. I can see why you fell in love with the fabrics. Have fun learning to use the long arm at the quilt shop. I wish mine had that same offer. Lucky you.

Love the quilt Harmony!

I took a long arm class at my LQS with the idea of renting time on it. The teacher even said we could audit more classes after we took our first one - but we couldn't actually use the machine then. Unfortunately, even in an all-day class, we didn't quite learn enough to set up the machine to use a pattern.
I probably could have put my quilt on it in the first rental hour, and made a start in the next couple....decided that it just wasn't worth the $$$ for me to rent it. I think I could pay someone to quilt for less money! LOL

sooooooo pretty. Those stars are fun. I have no clue about long-arm quilting and how long it takes to learn, but hope you do well quickly!!

Great looking quilt.

The class is pretty much a lesson on how to use the machine, to make sure that you know how to use it properly. after that to get accurate designs etc takes practice. I know I have both the laser and the groovie boards, and of course there is always freehand. You need to relax when you are working with the machine so it flows nicely. it can be a lot of fun.

I have decided I LOVE blue and brown together! Your quilt has inspired some ideas from me as my girls bedroom is blue and brown!

Beautiful fabric. I love browns/tans/blues together. I've been collecting fabrics to do one with those colors one of these days.

You did a wonderful job on yours. Thanks for the pic!
