Default Flannel sheets into a lap quilt

My sister asked me to put a new back on a quilt that her husbands grandmother had made years ago... she bought a set of king size flannel sheets to use. I used the flat sheet for the repair, but then I still had a lot of fabric left from the fitted sheet. So I thought, I think I need a lap quilt for my couch I bought a twin size set from the same collection to get the right color match - - but I did break down and buy some black flannel yardage to go with it. I wanted a scrappy look so the blocks are a little "misplaced" looking. This is a very cuddly quilt! With the sheets that I have left I will be making a sister quilt. Thanks for looking!

Wonderful quilt. It looks like it is just waiting for someone to snuggle up in it

Love it! Where did you find the red plaid sheets? Would be great for a lap quilt I'm working on.

    Thanks everyone!

The sheets were bought from Amazon... their pricing really fluctuates. My sis bought the California king set in the red plaid for $21 and today they show for $47
