My mother started a blanket almost EXACTLY like that when I was pregnant with my son 28 years ago! Never finished ... but she finally got it done and gave it to his daughter, born in June. Great story and a cherished gift.

Great quilt! Better late than never-I found the cross stitch birth announcement I had done for DD-31 years ago! I evidently finished it all BUT name, birth date and weight. I'm finishing it for when we visit her for her 31st birthday in a couple of weeks.
