sawsan, another idea? Use that white border by stitching on a waving stem border or waving ric-rac. Cut the circles smaller and use some of them as flowers, add a few leaves. The circles could also be cut into wedges to make cockscomb-like flowers.

I'm with you on it being too much white. Maybe do really neat stitching with bright colored thread on the large white blocks?

I also like Arlene's suggestion of the bright border dividing the wide white border into smaller sections.

The circles 'help' in one sense, but I really don't care for them on this particular design.

This was also my thoughts...after all you already have the circles made...Take a chance and try using them in the center area. I also like the narrow print border ideas. Have fun with it above all...

It depends on how you are going to quilt it. The white would look lovely with a intricate design done in varigated thread. I sometimes intentionally leave "plain" sections if I want to showcase a feathered wreath design in them.

I think the circles add a lot to it, and I like them together with the log cabin.

This is just an idea for using the circles in the border.

Arleners is right -- that little border of the darker fabric will make all the difference. That, and quilting with a variegated thread using some of the colors in the quilt. Please post when you're done - can't wait to see it finished! Beautiful blocks!

Also I agree that you should use colored thread when quilting the white blocks
That's exactly what I was thinking. I love what you've already got going & think a narrow inner border would really make those blocks shine. I'm looking forward to seeing this beauty all done!!!
