beautiful work. not my colors either but I know my mother would love it because it is HER colors.... tastes are so different from one another your MIL will be very pleased!

I know exactly what you mean - it's hard to work on a quilt that uses colors that don't speak to you. But you've done a great job with the pattern and the smile on her face when she gets it will make it all worthwhile.

I would struggle too with those fabrics... but concentrate on how happy she will be with the final results .

What size are your blocks... I did a single quilt using carpenter Star with double circles, I am to do a super king size for my DS & DIL with sides to reach the floor. I started on it yesterday but decided last night that 3.5 inch squares are toooooo small. I would be working on it beyond my years...LOL

These start out as 6" blocks. Oh yeah- 3 1/2" blocks would drive me nuts with this fabric. haha! This actually went together very quickly.
