I have collected up several jelly rolls, but have not made quilts with them yet. I have purchased 4 books with great pattens, though.

    Here is what I have-
    http://www.hancocks-paducah.com/Item--i-ANK-283
    http://www.fatquartershop.com/store/...98&Parent_Ids=
    http://www.fatquartershop.com/store/...51&Parent_Ids=
    http://www.fatquartershop.com/store/...62&Parent_Ids=

    And I have these patterns
    http://www.fatquartershop.com/store/...57&Parent_Ids=
    http://www.fatquartershop.com/store/...95&Parent_Ids=

I also have this purse pattern and am anxious to make it too!!

I guess I need to get off the computer and get to sewing some of these jelly rolls!!

I love working with jelly rolls! Here are a few I've done:

Gosh, I didn't realize I'd made so many of these! And I have plans to make several more! Good luck on yours--whatever you decide to do, I'm sure you'll love it!

I have the same problem as mamabird3. I see them, buy them, them put them away. Its a nice suprise later when I'm looking for something else. I just found a jelly roll I bought in April. i had to call my sister to see if she remembered why I bought it. The light came on and it reminded her of a book she bought at the same time and forgot about.
    so many project.

I am exactly the same I have 4 jelly rolls, and no idea how to use them yet! I will tackle a jelly roll throw with embroidery though after Christmas.

Just to add, one of the reasons I love the jelly roll, is you get to have so many different pieces of fabric with just one purchase!

Thank you guys so much for the links and thoughts on jelly rolls!!! One thing I'm finding is that some online shops don't tell you how many strips are in their rolls!! That makes it difficult. LOL!!

    I ordered 2 books from overstock.com:

"Jelly Roll, Layer Cake & Charm Quilts" and "Jelly Roll Quilts".

Now I'm looking at the Moda rolls. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Has anyone used the jelly rolls from Connecting Threads? They're pretty reasonable and I've heard the fabric is good. Just wondered.

I stick mostly with moda rolls for that reason of the number of strips. I do know keepsake quilting only puts 35 in their rolls, but they do make that clear in their catalogue. Most of the jelly roll quilt patterns call for forty, to be in line with the moda product.

I love jelly rolls too. Ordered several books, but haven't had a chance to use a pattern yet. Will do some after Xmas.

How far does 40 strips get you? I'm hoping the books that I ordered will work out different quilt sizes for me, but I'm just wondering about a ball park range.... will it take 2 or 3 or even 4 jelly rolls to make 1 queen size?

Thanks. These 5 quilts patterns are all from the "Jelly Roll Quilts" book by Pam & Nicky Lintott. The patterns from top to bottom are: (1) Nine Patch Wonder, (2) Friendship Braid, (3) Daisy Chain, (4) Pandora's Box, and (5) Garden Trellis.

    Eddie -

Your first quilt trips me out. I try to see the hour glass block but then it turns into a bigger block, and then I try to focus on the big block and it becomes the hour glass. Like those pictures where it's either the old lady or young girl, just not at the same time... do you know what I mean??

And I absolutely love your quilts. Very stunning.
