    Default McTavishing Sample

Our quilt guild had bingo during one of our monthly meetings. Anyone who had a bingo could go to the front table and pick a donated quilt book. I was fortunate enough to bingo and get Karen McTavish's book that included a CD. After practicing for awhile on my dry erase board I decided it was time to try it in my HQ16. I made a small practice sandwich and off I went. I do no think I did too badly. I am presently working on sewing my dresden plates done in retro 30's prints to background white 14" blocks. My mind is racing on how the McTavishing technique would look on the white fabric that surrounds each Dresden. Now I am motivated to get the top finished so I can start quilting!

Looks very good, especially for a practice piece!
