Default Memorial Quilt Revamped

Several months ago, I posted the beginnings of my Memorial Quilt and got a lot of feedback. I redid some things according to some of your suggestions. And, I came up with a couple of my own ideas. Please Note that this quilt isn't finished but is still a WIP! Any suggestions you have that you think might help make it better, please tell me. Because I feel like it lacks something. I am open to suggestions.

I am touched by it. The only think I can think of is perhaps a beam of light.

Hummmmm... Now that is an idea. Wonder how I could pull that one off. Thanks for the input!

maybe a walkway, like a path, for the soldiers to walk on. Love it so far!

I want to get it ready for the Quilt Show in March. I'm going to have to get a move on. And, no, I don't have much patience. that is why it spends more time on the shelf than it does getting worked on.
