Mamagus -- Sam would have been 8 this summer. Really sad to lose these guys so young.

That is a beautiful wall hanging. I am so sorry Samantha had to leave you. All of us pet owners know how hard it is to lose our sweeties. I don't think you ever get over missing them.

So sorry to hear of your loss. I lost my sweet baby last November and I miss him dearly. You never have enough time with your pets. That is a beautiful quilt. I am going to check out the site and see what they have for labs. Thank you for sharing the name of the site where you got the fabric. Time will heal your loss but we never forget. Love is eternal for our sweet babies. God bless you.

You did really good to get 8 years. Can't think of one that I know that was/is older than that!

I come from their land! And breeders are very rare here now. Most Newfs are bred in the U.S. and Germany now.

What a wonderful way to keep the memory of a beloved pet and family member alive. You know how much she would have loved to sleep on that! Newfies are so loving. The quilt is really beautiful.

I lost my black lab 6 months ago, he was only 7. Then a month after that another one of my dogs had to be put down. It's been a sad and lonely place without them. I also made two quilts for them in memory of them. I'm sorry for your loss and your quilt is beautiful.

We lost our Leonburger several years ago and are still not over it. He was only 6 yrs old. (Newfies were one of 3 breeds used to develop this breed.) The giant breeds are truly gentle giants and the most loving dogs I've ever known. I hope your tribute to Samanta gives you comfort as you remember her. It is quite beautiful.
