Making a big quilt like this, even with that narrow strip (1") wouldn't be that difficult if you used a strip piecing technique.
Select sixteen different fabrics, cut into 1.5" strips ... press seams, cut into 3.5" sections, sew the sections together the length you want ...
simple, eh? <g>

Oh my kind of quilt! sewjoyce did you add it to the miniature virtual section? It's easy to do just click on the "Add this topic to a virtural section" phrase. Only the author of the post or Rhonda the mini coordinator can do this.

Joyce that is exquisite! I peered and peered to see the flowers but can only see them on the back. But I'm sure they're beautiful on the green sashing.
