Bonnie -

The "tall" side is 2", and the "short" side is 1 + 3/8". I keep it on the tall side. If you were making one (or having it made) I would recommend experimenting with different heights to see what works best for you.

Thanks for the compliment. We're still learning, and we're slow, but we are enjoying the journey.

The piano was given to us several years ago. It was painted "Have a Nice Day" Yellow and needed a lot of work. We had it restored and it has an awesome sound. It is an 1895 Packard.

Thanks everyone for the kind words and encouragement. I love seeing everyone else's work, and am honored to be able to post a finished project now and then myself.
