First, I need to apologize to pab58 who in April, requested I post my avatar in pictures. I looked all over and couldn't find the pic so today I took new pics. Guess what. I have found the old pic too. So here goes all of them.
I found this pattern in Patchwork Quilts in 4/2004 and did the hand appilque. I finally finished it up around 2007. It is hand quilted but the blocks are machine pieced together. It was my first needle turn applique. (I struggled with this, trying to follow directions of using a template, and starching all the edges but they were not coming out smooth. I joined a free applique class and was told I did't have to do all that.) After learning needle turn, things went better. This is fun to do while waiting in Dr offices and at the tv.
The wall hanging of Roses on a picket fence was also taken from Am. Patchwork in 2003. This is all machine appliqued. I did some of the quilting with invisible thread. It was fun to do and took no time to do. I hand beaded the Rose after quilting it.
