Default Monkey see, Monkey do...............

will be the name of this quilt.
Somebody posted a similar quilt January 24th on this board. She said that the pattern was out of worldquilters magazin.
Looking at it I figured it could be done with any size of snail trail blocks. Gladie was so nice to send me a 9 inch snail trail pattern for paper piecing. I did not "finish" the blocks, I only added three rounds of triangles. The biggest triangles I assembled seperately, that way it was much easier to add the tails (hand applique) and the heads (embroidery.com)it also was possible to put a triangle of background fabric under the chin of the monkeys. Then I joined the blocks on point as you can see on the picture. The finished size is 74" x 65 "
I love it and I think it also could be done with frogs.........without tails of course:-)

Now it will have to wait for quilting till my Horizon is back from repair.

Thanks for looking
Granny

That is great! Your color placement is just perfect and I can imagine what a lot of concentration it took to make the monkeys. Very inspirational.
