I got dh to open the closet door(stuck). It justs needs to be cleaned and oiled. I bought it for a whole whopping $12.00 at an auction sale about 5 years ago.

15 - #AL850005 Simanco w/stamp 8 underneath

Hi Amy,

What a find you have. Look on the bottom of the machine for a plate with numbers. Look the numbers up in the Singer archives for information about your machine. There are links in other postings.

Thanks for ans my ?"s. I find it is younger than me, but I think it is kinda neat that the letters AL are also my initials. How much of a chance would that be 1/50005 that someone's initials would be the same? She is really heavy. I had a white heavy duty carry case for another sewing machine that was broke and I put the little doll in there. Not that she is light. omg!! I have to decide on a name for her yet. HMMMMMMM?
