Default Move over Bowtucks - I have a new favorite totebag pattern

The pattern comes from "The Quilt Magazine's" April 2010 issue. When I saw sewsewquilter's post here http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...e-t162675.html I knew I just had to make the bag..

Move over "Bowtucks bag" because I think this Daytripper bag is going to be my new favorite totebag pattern. I love love love the scooped pocket....I was going to make a prototype bag to make sure I liked it but I decided to dig right into my precious batiks and made one up....

Do you have a favorite totebag pattern?

Thanks for sharing the photo of your bag...it's GREAT! Although I would be proud to carry any bowtucks bag, I think yours is more sophisticated and an updated style. For myself, I would not put the bows on my bowtuck. I guess I'm just not that girlie.

Oh, I like that one. I don't use patterns anymore. I started with bow-tucks and just kept changing them to my liking. Adding more quilting, different handles and hardware. Now, my purses don't look like bow tucks at all anymore.

I've been looking for another bag to add to my Bow Tuck line so I think I'll have to try this one. Thanks for sharing.
