This is for my son's second birthday. It's become a tradition that my kids get bedding with a quilt for their 'big kid' beds on their 2nd birthday.

I started quilting this yesterday, though the top has been done for months.

The kit didn't have enough material to make the size I wanted, so I added in the framed appliques of hammers and saws.
 great idea! Where did you find the great fabric and do you mind if we copy your quilt for our little ones?
The fabric was at my LQS. I thought the line was called "Mr. Fix It," but I just googled it, and the fabric isn't the same. I'll double check with the LQS. I think she has one kit left, but all of the board fabric is the light color, not the dark. I didn't follow the directions in the kit she had, but I used all the fabric!
I don't mind if you copy it.
