when I started this small wall hanging. You've heard of Murphy's Law - if anything can go wrong, it will. That's why I've dubbed this piece "Murphy's Garden." This is my version of a wall hanging I saw in a magazine (?) some time ago. It's also my first time for machine applique. Didn't buy enough fabric for backing (flowers), so can't finish it until I do. Been sewing for years, but just started quilting, mostly small table runners. Appreciate any tips on how to do better next time. Thanks for looking. Happy quilting!

I think it is really cute! I don't see anything wrong with it. What sort of things went wrong? Happens to me all the time and I have been quilting over 30 yrs.

Rhonda: Bought fabric for flowers twice. First colors were too pale. Cut some of the strips the wrong size (measured wrong). Have a few bubbles on machine quilting areas but I'm ignoring them. Because of change of colors, needed two new spools thread. Thought I had squared my white squares until it was time to put sashing on. Little things like that. Oh, and of course, ran out of bobbin thread once. Still enjoyed every stitch and cut, and look forward to my next project. Have a nice weekend.

Mama said there'd be days like this....just don't like it when they are long running and consecutive! LOL
But we all are addicted to quilting!

Very nice. I love anything with flowers, the bigger the better.
