My DH and I went to the quilt show today and saw lots of fantastic quilts and there were alot of interesting ideas represented!!

I hoped to run into Don - Isewman but missed him. I hope you don't mind Don that I post pics of your show here. Don belongs to the Quilt Guild that presented the show.

Here are the ones that impressed me. I noticed the quilting more than I ever did before. I am not good at the hand or machine quilting down part. But after being exposed to all the conversations about it on here I was more aware of it instead of dismissing it and looking beyond it.

I felt I looked at these with a better perspective from all I have leaned on here of areas that I was not familiar with before the board. Now I looked at these techniques with a new understanding.

So enjoy all the beauty!!

This is one of the quilting techniques I mentioned above

This one is one of Don's there was another but I never found it sorry Don!

This one is interesting as it is not a complicated quilt but never the less an interesting look! The fabric chosen gives it the fascination factor. It would be a good beginner quilt.

This one I liked as it is a variation on the Drunkard's path

Sorry this is abit fuzzy but I wanted to show it any way

The bird was fantastic!!

I just had to show you the carpet!!!

One thing I am more aware of now is the oriental looks

I LOVED this one!! It is 3D

I had to take this one as I just did a Doll Quilt with corn fabric. This one the borders are corn fabric!

Thanks for posting all these. I loved Don's quilt the best!!! I was looking at it before I read about it being Don's. I was thinking I really liked it & that I should make a cool quilt like that with barns or houses & trees! Very nice!!!

This is probably a third of all the displays!

When we were in the show I was taking pics of anything I thought was worth the interest. ( they all were fabulous but I didn't want to take the time to take all of them) and when I passed one Glen thought I should take a pic of he would let me know!! He told me he likes to look at pretty things too! LOL

But the funny thing was when we got in the car. He looked at me and said You know I was noticing all the tips and twicks in there! He thought it was funny he could pick them out. I said well you have really been learning haven't you! BTW WHAT IS A TWICK?? He says it's half a twist and half a tuck!!!! Like the quilt piece we were talking about this morning!!! So we have a new quilt word!!! A TWICK is when a fabric gets twisted and tucked up where it shouldn't be!!!
Tips are his version of "points" So watch out for your Tips and Twicks!! LOL

Thank you Rhonda for posting this. We don't get anything like that here so it's a real treat to have such a virtual tour of a Show. Beautiful quilts - I've been back over them at least three times already.
And I will definitely watch my twicks now!! what a great word.
