Great looking applique to me. I love the bright fabrics you chose for the flowers.

The flowers were drawn by an extremely talented lady who works at one of our LQS here in Denver. I can't take credit for the colors, they are hers. I hope to finish the embroidery details on the latest 2 blocks this week.

As for what I want to improve, I have a lot of trouble getting pieces placed correctly, so could really use tips for that... My points are pretty rounded still on slender leaves and such...
I guess my real problem is that when I look at my work, I see the errors much easier than the good parts.

Looking good...applique is very addictive, so be aware, this is the start of a very long relationship! The flowers and colours are lovely and well done for using embroidery to add an extra dimension. Always save interesting fabrics/beads/sequins/and other potential embellishments in little containers....you never know when you are going to need a dewdrop on a leaf or a shimmer on some grass....

They look very nice. I'm trying to learn needle turn myself and it is not an easy technique. Practice does seem to help me improve. Do you use the short applique pins and a straw needle?
