    The base of the quilt is Jelly Roll Race. The applique was from my embroidery machine. I just randomly cut pieces of dark green batik to make the seaweed. I used Wonder Under to put it in place and just did a rough decortive stitch around the seaweed. It gave the seaweed a rough edge which is want I was looking for. The back is just fat quarters cut into fourths and pieced in brick pattern. I used left over jelly roll strips between each row. I just had a picture in my mind what I wanted to do and just did it. Thanks for the compliments.

    My niece voted for your quilt!!! Our quilt guild was there too...the Pine Tree Quilter...we were selling raffel tickets for the RHS Arts program .....It was my first year doing this, it was fun, very windy but fun!
