Excellent choice of block and color. I've never been to the US, but I like the idea of barn quilts a lot and would love to travel through an area where you can look at them, one day. Your US barns remind me of Skandinavian buildings, it seems a similar kind of red. We have no buildings like these in Switzerland.
P.S: Is there a special name for that kind of red? In Sweden it's called "Falun red" and it's a by-product of the copper industry, named after the Falun copper mine.
