Default My Best Christmas EVER!

I didn't think that my 3 DGS would really appreciate quilts for Christmas seeing that they are 16, 12 1/2 and 12. What boy wants a quilt for Christmas? Boy was I surprised! My oldest grandson opened his quilt and said, "Oh wow, my own quilt!" Then he proceeded to dance around the room wrapped in it. The other two were excited too and really liked their quilts. Didn't know it would make such an impact!

There have been so many things written recently about how recipients of quilts, etc. haven't appreciated their gifts, that it's wonderful to hear a "happy ending" story.

That is great news! Thanks for sharing.

It's always great to have someone that likes your quilts. I have been blessed that most of my family love the gift of a quilt. I had one inlaw let me know that she did not want a quilt. She did it nicely and she is not on the quilt LIST. No problem and I didn't take it personally. What's next on your quilt list for the new year?

Very pretty quilts and handsome Grandsons. I find boys and men love quilts.

How great to get that reaction!! Isn't it wonderful to see your work pay off? I had a similar experience with my son. He seemed happy with the quilt I made him but I didn't know how much he liked it until the dog chewed a hole in it and was banished for almost 2 days. I was able to repair it and he promised to be more careful with the dog. LOL

When they do things like that it makes all the effort that much more worthwhile.

Last Christmas I made a quilt for my 9 year old grandson. He stayed wrapped up in it the whole day and put it on his bed and hasn't stopped sleeping with it. Both of our grandchildren loves the quilts I make for them.
