Here is the quilt top I made from the "Blocks of the Orient" exchange. This was my first block swap and the quilt top I made form the blocks I received from my partners plus some extras I made. I found the backing fabric at my LQS and think it is a great match.

Beautiful quilt! What width sashing did you use? I'm wanting to do mine that way too.

I cut them 2 inches. I think it helped define the blocks to showcase all the work everyone did. Do you think the backing will look okay?

Your quilt is very beautiful. I like the sashing between each block because I think it really showcases your blocks! :-)

love your quilt. So this was your first swap. Any suggestions for someone who is watching, thinking about jumping in? Love your blocks and your sashing frames them nicely.

Make the jump! Look through the block swaps and find one that appeals to you...then just get busy making some blocks to share. There is alot of talent out there. I am a new quilter and making these blocks helps me build my skills. Plus you get the benefit of seeing all the different blocks and fabrics then putting them all togther the way you want to!

There are always block swaps going on. Just take a look in the swap section and pick one you like! There are lots of blocks with lots of skill levels.
