Wink My Current Hand Piecing Project

Everyone has been so nice about my GFG quilt, I thought I would share my current hand piecing project. ckcowl (a member here on the board) posted pictures a few months back of some hexies she was making. Each finished hexie was made up of several different shapes...I got excited!!

So far I have completed 5 and I cut out 2 more tonight. I'm not sure yet how i will incorporate them into a quilt, but I keep thinking about those star quilts where the designer takes a very traditional patten, turns it on its head and then adds a sprinkling of stars..like glitter! We shall see where it ends up!

Pretty hexes! Blue and white is always a nice colour combo.

Pretty and interesting, too! Thanks for the pictures. It's the first time I've seen hexies done this way.

these are turning out Beautifully! and will make a wonderful 'starry' quilt! I started putting mine together by adding triangles to the sides- making them into 6 pointed stars. I need to get back to that project soon- maybe my winter (blahs) project. your blocks encourage me to get back to mine
